1. Take a Ride, Stroll or Bike on the "DeBaliviere Strip" Marker
Inscription. In its hey-day, DeBaliviere was home to several famous people and hotspots. Many St. Louisans recall their first skating lessons at The Wintergarden indoor icehouse, dinners at Garavelli's and Sorrento's. Others frequented the DeBaliviere Strip know for its collection of burlesque houses. DeBaliviere was also home to the Apollo Theater, The Mural Room and The Holy Barbarian, which was the first music venue in St. Louis to feature an integrated band of musicians.

This stretch is also home to Great Rives Greenway's St. Vincent Greenway, a bicycle and pedestrian path connecting Forest Park to the south with Ruth Porter Mall Park to the north.
