Treaty Live Oak
Camp Milton Historic Preserve
A legendary landmark in downtown Jacksonville, Florida, this majestic live oak tree is said to have sheltered settlers and natives during peace treaty talks. In the early 1900’s, an amusement park stood on the site, and today, it is the park centerpiece. Jesse Ball DuPont bequeathed the tree and adjacent land to the city for perpetual care. This tree grew from an acorn handpicked from the Jacksonville Treaty Live Oak.
