Col. Schenectady militia during American Revolution owned farm here 1765 to death in 1799. Buried on high knoll above reservoir.

the 2nd Albany County Militia Regiment, which was the local militia unit for Schenectady, New York, during the American Revolutionary War. The regiment saw action with the Continental Army in 1777 at the Battle of Saratoga in General John Glover's brigade.
