Inscription.
Spas thrive on pleasant diversions. In contrast to sedate Bathhouse Row, Happy Hollow developed a a free-wheeling carnival atmosphere.

At the turn of the century, Norman Mcleod opened an amusement park in the vicinity of this cold spring and by the 1920s Happy Hollow was a major attraction for families. The place offered burro rides, a small zoo, and a photo gallery where people could pose in painted scenery.

Erected by National Park Service, U.S. Department of the Interior.
