Also see . . . Richard Enderlin. Enderlin was an 18 year old private at the battle of Gettysburg with the 73rd Ohio Volunteer Infantry. On day two of the battle, Enderlin risked his life to carry a wounded comrade laying between the lines to safety. Enderlin was later awarded the Medal of Honor for his actions.
