Also see . . .  Richard Enderlin. Enderlin was an 18 year old private at the battle of Gettysburg with the 73rd Ohio Volunteer Infantry. On day two of the battle, Enderlin risked his life to carry a wounded comrade laying between the lines to safety. Enderlin was later awarded the Medal of Honor for his actions. We, the Sons of the American Legion Squadron 62 of Chillicothe, dedicate ourselves to the preservation of these memories, to honor past, present and future generations of veterans whose sacrifice ensured the freedom of this great nation. Dedicated 2003.
