1. 2510 E. Franklin Street Marker
Inscription. This three-bay brick Italianate townhouse was built no later than 1877 by a speculative builder It features a one-story porch with simple posts. The diminutive front yard features an iron fence with a welcoming gate. Watermen, Charles T., Daniel S. Sr. and Daniel S. Leffler, occupied the house in 1879. Mrs. Elizabeth Turner, widow, and Emma Turner, a teacher, lived here in 1885. Later tenants included J. F. Parkinson, policeman, Joseph Richardson, tinner, and Mollie B. Adams, widow. This house is listed as a contributing structure to the St. John's Church Historic District on the Virginia Landmarks Register and the National Register of Histoirc Places.
