1. Dr. Ada (Quinn) Brasher Marker
Inscription. First graduate in a class of one from El Monte Schools, 1888. She furthered her education in Los Angeles, since at the time El Monte did not offer higher than 9th grade education. She became a teacher in the Pomona Schools and later a doctor of osteopathic medicine. She was also the first president of the El Monte Alumni Association, organized in 1899.
