"My contemporaries are very concerned over the rising drug problem.... My standard (and very truthful) answer about the drug question is, 'I don't need anything artificial to turn me on. When I'm fortunate enough to have such tremendous experiences as seeing, hearing, tasting and smelling. I don't need any chemical help to get a kick out of living'…Let's be realistic—I couldn't pretend to represent all of my generation. But I do believe I represent those who…are willing to strengthen our government and society without wanting to dissolve it."
