"What the media doesn't pick up on is the attitudes of middle America, which is what I think I represent. But the title is not something that you win on morality, and I don't want to turn it into a crusade for new values. All my life I've felt I've been different because of my values, but I am still a woman of the 80s. I want to have a career, but I also can't see anything wrong in the family as the traditional unit in society."
Jennifer Dillon, "America's Beautiful Virgin...." Sentay Telegraph, (Australia), 8/25/1985
