The Vision

A Grammy sat here one day with her grandson in hand. It was June 2006 when she imagined a new "fabulous" state of the art play environment…to set a precedensce by building the first handicap accessible playground from A.C. to Longport with music, art and history…Shorely The Best!
CSure Children's Park, a non-profit organization was formed for the purpose of creating a playground that conforms with ADA standards. CSure meets the needs and abilities of all children. Our goals are to encourage personal achievement and to integrate all children, both developing and those of special needs to play in a safe environment where their abilities will be challenged and accepted.
The playground was planned by playground design company Leathers & Associates with the imagination from the children from the VECC, Beth Judah Preschool and the St. James School. It has been created for longevity in a coastal setting. The materials used consist of structural plastic and plastic component lumber which will withstand salt air erosion.
CSure Childrens Park was built in 14 days on August, 2007 in a barn-raising style with hundreds of volunteers coming from near and far to work shoulder to make a dream come true. Together we learned: "A community build project builds a community and gives us pride too"
