Inscription.

Height: 2'-7'
Flower: small, in showy yellow clusters
Bloom: late summer-autumn

This common shrub has green photosynthetic stems. In autumn, it is covered by gold blooms. The flowers provide a late-season source of nectar for butterflies, bees, and other pollinators. The Hopi weave stems into wedding belts and use the bark and flowers for dyes.
