Basilio Rosas came from Nombre de Dios, Durango, and his wife, Maria Manuela Hernández, came from Rosado, Sinaloa. At age 62, Rosas was the eldest of the pobladores. The Rosas family brought seven children with them. Two sons, Carlos and Maximo, married Indian women from nearby Gabrielino villages.

Basilio Rosas vino de Nombre de Dios, Durango, y su esposa, María Manuela Hernández, de Rosario, Sinaloa. A la edad de 62 años, Rosas era el mas viejo de los pobladores. La familia Rosas trajo a siete niños con ello. Dos hijos, Carlos y Maximo, casaron con mujeres indínenos de pueblos Gabrielinos cercanos.
