1. Civilian Conservation Corp Marker
Inscription. "Created in early 1933, the CCC was an effort by President Franklin Roosevelt to combine the national need for employment with the preservation of natural and historical resources. From May, 1933 until 1942, CCC boys restored village cabins, built roads, shelterhouses and created the lake. These, and many other projects, were a significant contribution to the creation of Spring Mill State Park."
