1. White Oak Marker
Inscription. White Oak lumber decked many of America's great wooden ships. It was used by the settlers to make barrels and furniture. Splints from young White Oaks were used to make baskets and seats for chairs. The settelrs learned from the Indians a way for boiling and preparing acorns for food.
