Knight's Landing. . Established in 2007 in honor of William J. Knight, who was a Civil War Veteran born on Jan. 24, 1837 in Apple Creek, Ohio. Knight was a brave man and a Union soldier who voluntarily took part in Andrew's Raid. He lived in Stryker, Ohio. After escaping capture by the Confederates in September of 1863, Knight was awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor for his bravery and accomplishments in the raid. Knight passed away on September 26, 1916 and is buried in the Oakwood Cemetery of Stryker, Ohio. . This historical marker was erected in 2007. It is in Stryker in Williams County Ohio
