Raquette River. Experience it all!!. The Raquette River is the second longest river in New York State, running from Blue Mountain Lake through a scenic and historic travel corridor into the St. Lawrence River at Akwesasne
As the 174-mile-long river flows north it drains about 1,000 square miles of watershed, passing through natural and man-made lakes as well as many towns and villages.
There is a lot to experience all seasons of the year - on the river and in the communities surrounding it. . This historical marker was erected by New York State Department of State. It is in Akwesasne in Franklin County New York
