1. Pelicans in Peril Marker

Inscription. The Zoo's brown pelicans are living proof of what ocean debris can do. Once wild birds, the pelicans became entangled in abandoned fishing gear. With damaged wings and no longer able to survive on their own, the pelicans are cared for today by Zoo staff.
