Black-footed Ferret
Black-footed ferrets are the only ferret species in North America. Once thought to be extinct, they were rediscovered in 1981. With the help of the Zoo's conservation efforts and breeding programs, the black-footed ferret is making a strong comeback.

Giraffe
Giraffes can grow up to 18 feet tall. Their height helps them to reach the tops of tall trees, and their long tongues are perfect for stripping leaves off branches. An adult giraffe can eat up to 140 pounds of leaves in one day!
