1. Iranian Gunboat Marker
Inscription. This Iranian gunboat, Swedish made and armed with Russian weapons, is one of two boats recovered by SEALs during Operation Earnest Will in the Persian Gulf [1987-1988]. One boat was recovered adrift following a brief surface engagement. This boat was sunk in an air-to-surface engagement, then recovered from a depth of over 100 feet by the SEALs. After being used for training by Special Boat Squadron One, Coronado, California, the boat was sent here for display.
