Rescue
Volunteers transported oiled penguins to emergency rescue facilities.

Rehabilitate
Each penguin was painstakingly washed, fed, and nursed back to health.

Release
More than 95% of the affected birds were successfully returned to the sea.

More than 12,000 volunteers from around the world traveled to South Africa to rescue the penguins.
