Inscription.
“The environment is where we all meet; where all have a mutual interest; it is the one thing all of us share. It is not only a mirror of ourselves, but a focusing lens on what we become.” ~ Lady Bird Johnson

Former first lady "Lady Bird" Johnson promoted beautification of the Nation's Capital and was instrumental in the founding of Hobart Community Parks in 1968. This garden has been replanted with a variety of roses, in keeping with the original planting plan.
