1. Jailhouse Marker
Inscription. The jail was originally located just northeast of its current location. For a number of years, a local farmer used it as a grain bin. In 1977, it was moved back to the village and placed adjacent to the Steinauer Community Heritage House.

For a number of years it was used at Ferd Wenzl’s farm as a granary. It was moved to its original location in 1977. Notice the unique construction, the use of 2×4’s laid on top of each other to construct the walls.
