First Burial Ground in Millville
is owned by the Chestnut Street Meeting House
Most markers have disappeared through the
ravages of weather and time.
Few names of our first settlers buried here are known,
however, The memory of their courage persists.
Those known to be buried here are:

Benoni Benson First to Settle on Millville Soil
in the year 1713 died in 1761 at age 71.
Abigail Benson died in 1751 at age 32
Daniel Darling died in 1745 at age 64
John Darling died in 1760 at age 75
----- Darling died in 1746
John Goldwaite died in 1800 at age 69
