Inscription. Main Street Cedartown has always been a top choice for the area's parades, festivals and special events. From the annual fall festival held each October, to Shriner's Parades, Homecoming Parades, and all sorts of political rallies, concerts, and barbecues, Main Street still serves as Cedartown's front porch.

[Captions (clockwise from left)]
• These images from around 1900 show the corner of Main Street and Stubbs Street during a spring festival and fire company tournament, where surrounding volunteer fire departments from around the region gathered to show off equipment and fire fighting techniques.
• Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company was a major employer in Cedartown for many years. The Goodyear Field Day Parade was an annual event first held in the 1920s. In the larger image, ROTC members and Boy Scouts lead a late 1940s parade with flags of the U.S. and Goodyear.
• The Northwest Georgia Fair is celebrated in these 1950s views of South Main Street.
