Inscription. As part of the westward migration of settlers from Fort Nashborough, the Asher family blazed a trail from Bledsoe's Creek through the area now known as Fairvue Plantation and built a stockade called Asher's Station. Savage Indian attacks at the station forced the family to move north to Kentucky. They returned to the station in 1783 after the conclusion of the American Revolution.
