Inscription. 656 acres, purchased December 15th, 1923, from Frank Billmeyer; from Hunter's License Fund, for the purpose of propagating game.
 
Erected by E. Lee Le'Compte, State Game Warden of Maryland; Maryland Historic Trust, Maryland State Highway Administration.
