1st Lieut. 15th U.S. Infty.
Born at Aurora, N.Y.
August 1, 1842
Died at San Francisco
May 15, 1887

At the age of 19 he enlisted in the 1st. Regt. Wis. Volunteer Infty. He fought in the Battles of Falling Water, Chattanoogo (sic), Nashville, Chaplin Hills, Jefferson, Stone River, & Missionary Ridge; Honorably mustered out of service with his Regt., April 7, 1866; Elected a Companion of the 1st Class Military Order, Loyal Legion of the U.S. Nov. 5, 1883, and Member of the G.A.R.
