The human figure
The human figure
The ancient inhabitants of this valley exhaustively represented the human figure. It was shaped head-on from very schematic linear strokes to form body and limbs and, sometimes, fingers and toes. Some wear various headdresses in the form of feathers, similar to hare ears, or carry various instruments. They are also endowed with great dynamism, suggesting the execution of dances, while others were reflected in anatomically impossible positions. Usually the human figure does not present sexual attributes, although in exceptional cases they were explicitly pointed out. The circular forms and the representation of the human figure are a binomial of local rock art. The circles were regularly embodied in red, although there are bichrome compositions in yellow, red, black and white; some, due to their technique of elaboration and abundance, are part of complex scenes.
