Los Ciclos del Medio Ambiente y el Tiempo Míticos
Los ecosistemas semidesérticos concentran gran variedad de recursos vegetales y fauna que los nómadas debieron aprovechar en sus desplazamientos estacionales. Es probable que algunas plantas y animales correspondan a los que encontramos pintados en abrigos y frentes rocosos de Arroyo Seco; en virtud del esquematismo con que fueron plasmados, es difícil establecer con claridad las especies a que pertenecen, pero podemos reconocer armadillos, coyotes, venados, aves e incluso arácnidos. Apelando a la cosmovisión indígena, también puede proponerse la representación de plantas de maíz y peyotes pintados en algunos de los soportes rocosos, reflejo quizá de una vinculación entre los ciclos biológicos y el tiempo mítico.

English translation:
The Mythical Environment and Time Cycles
Semi-desert ecosystems concentrate a great variety of plant resources and fauna that nomads had to take advantage of in their seasonal displacements. It is likely that some plants and animals correspond to those we find painted on the shelters

and rock faces of Arroyo Seco; by virtue of the schematism with which they were captured, it is difficult to clearly establish the species to which they belong, but we can recognize armadillos, coyotes, deer, birds and even arachnids. Appealing to the indigenous worldview, the representation of corn plants and peyote painted on some of the rock faces can also be proposed, perhaps reflecting a link between biological cycles and mythical time.
