1. Benne Marker
Inscription. Benne, or sesame seed, has been used by people for over 5,000 years. Benne seeds grow inside of a pod that bursts when the seeds are ripe. These seeds are the main ingredient in benne balls, a dessert invented by Afro-Trinidadian people that is made from seeds combined with molasses, sugar, or honey.
