1. Potato Marker
Inscription. More than 7,000 years ago, people living in the Andes Mountains began cultivating the potato, eventually growing thousands of different kinds. Along the way they also developed chuρo, potatoes preserved by freeze-drying, for use during food shortages or when traveling. It is still made today in Peru and Bolivia.
