1. Rocky Mountain Douglas Fir Marker
Inscription. One of two species of Douglas fir, an important North American timber tree. The Okanagan Colville tribe in the Pacific Northwest used this tree for tent poles and spear shafts. Look for the cones easily identified by "rabbit ear" scales.
