1. Privy Station Marker
Inscription. This box-like structure on the outside of the lighthouse represents the outhouse for the lighthouse keepers. In the original lighthouse, the outhouse was an enclosed room that extended out from the wall and across the deck. The unheated privy was undoubtedly cold and drafty in the winter.
