1. The Rita Genecin Garden Marker
Inscription. Rita Genecin was a well known Baltimore painter and an early supporter of the Arboretum who had a vibrant garden at her home. Her landscapes and portraits reflect her vitality and love of the natural world. After her death in 2000, a fund was established by friends and relatives to create a garden here with a pergola and bench. We hope that this area will help keep Rita's memory alive in our hearts.
