This battery occupied this position, with two guns in the line of Sunday afternoon April 6, 1862.

3. Rifled 6-pdr Model 1841 Field Gun

This 6-pdr Model 1841 produced in 1861 by Cyrus Alger was rifled with 10 grooves. It carries a foundry number 831, and is listed as weighing 882 pounds.

4. 3.80-inch James Rifle, Type 1

This rifle used the pattern of the older 6-pdr Model 1841 Field Gun, but with a 3.80-inch bore and 15 groove rifling. This piece was cast at Greenwood & Company, Cincinnati, Ohio in 1862. It has the registry number 108 on the muzzle, and the initials "S.B." for the inspector. It weighed 884 pounds.
