1. 3000 E. Broad St. Marker

Inscription. Built circa 1904, this building with impressive Georgian Revival detailing, seen in its porch balustrades and pedestals, looks more like the large suburban houses of its time. Samuel T. White, the proprietor of S.J. White's and Sons Fish and Oysters was the builder and first occupant. Various widows and boarders resided here including, a fireman for Truck Company No. 6. Mary G. Galloway, widow, was by far the longest, residing at the property for over twenty years. This house is listed as a contributing structure to the Church Hill Historic District on the Virginia Landmarks Register and the National Register of Historic Places.
