— Sixth son of the Hon. William & Jane Wills Audenried —
commanding Army of the United States, and
Brevet Lieut. Col. and Captain 6th U.S. Cavalry.
He was a graduate of the United States Military Academy,
and during the War of the Rebellion 1861-65,
participated in its most important battles and campaigns.
