. It is in Missionary Ridge. It is on South Crest Road south of East Main Street, on the left when traveling south. This marker (monument) is located on Missionary Ridge, in the Bragg Reservation. Once you have entered the Bragg Reservation you will find this historical marker on the west side of the parking area on the old Ridge Road that runs through the Bragg Reservation. More about this monument. Robert A. Bullard was the Architect in charge of designing this monument. The monument was erected in 1899 and it was
restored in 1988. The monument is 21' by 21' at the base and is 80' high. The monument consists of a composite column on a pedestal of rock-faced masonry. Four bronze figures of soldiers at base, and a bronze figure of Peace holding a wreath atop the column.
