In 1916, No. 10 Canadian Army Medical Corps Training Depot staffed the Camp Hospital. It had an established strength of 275 Officers and Other Ranks. Also included in this number were 30 trained Nursing Sisters. Admissions numbered 3815, with just eleven deaths.
The health of the Camp was generally excellent. Hospital capacity eventually increased to 350 beds. There was a sterilization ward, a bacteria laboratory and a pathological lab. A Fumigation Unit was set-up for cleaning the bedding and clothing. Hot baths for medical purposes were taken at the Camp swimming pool. When Tuberculosis was discovered in the camp, an isolation ward was set up.
Semi-permanent buildings included: Medical Stores Building, 1915 (with operating theatre); Hospital Kitchen, 1915; and Administrative Building (Assistant Director of Medical Services) 1916.

On y trouvait
