Schaffner Dairy
Celebrating 100 years of continuous operation
Returning to Switzerland for a visit, Emil met his future wife, Marie Amsler. Now third, fourth, and fifth generations of Schaffners continue to work on the farm and dairy, which is the last Swiss dairy in Imperial Valley.
The Schaffner family has been innovative by expanding the farm and dairy, establishing the beef side of the business, and growing their own feed and many other crops. Generations of this immigrant pioneer family are well known for their continuing involvement and exemplary service in their community. NSGW honors their historical significance, hard work, and progress.
