1. Pacific Palisades Marker
Inscription. This land was part of the Mexican land grant Rancho Boca de Santa Monica, given to Francisco Marquez and Ysidro Reyes in 1839. Since that year it has been owned and lived on continuously by members of the Marquez family. After the partition of the grant in 1881, this portion was given to Pascual Marquez, son of Francisco. Upon Pascual's death in 1916, his son Perfecto J. Marquez, became the owner, and his family and descendants lived and raised their children here until the land was sold by them in 1979.
 
Erected 1980 by Pacific Palisades Historical Society, Marquez family, and Canyon Homes - the developer.
