1. Daisy Starck Marker
Inscription.  Daisy Starck became the first pedestrian on record to be killed by a horse carriage. Her father was Charles W. Starck, whose son Fred Starck and brother-in-law Frank Rabb amassed 42,000 acres of plantation land. The Starck/ Rabb partnership made them early developers of lasting irrigation techniques. Daisy's sister Lillian married Frank Rabb. Their home still stands at the Sabal Palms Sanctuary.
