More about this marker. The Cohn family home no longer exists, therefore the best place for visibility and appropriate context was the State Legislature where Cohn's draft legislation became law.

Regarding Felice Cohn. Felice Cohn was a founding member (1911) of the Nevada Equal Franchise Society, a Carson City native, and an attorney. Cohn drafted the resolution to amend the Nevada Constitution to allow women to vote. It went through revisions but the basis of the legislation that passed both houses has been attributed to her. She continued to advocate through the law for women and children in the state.

Additional keywords. Nevada; woman suffrage; law
