Consecrated to God in infancy by Holy baptism.
Established in the Christian faith at Norristown PA.
by the Holy Ordinance of Confirmation.
April 16th A.D. 1852.
DIED
at Cold [sic] Harbor, near Richmond,
Virginia. June 3rd A.D. 1864.

COLONEL EDWIN SCHALL,
on the outbreak of the Southern rebellion, he offered his services to his country; and filled successively the offices of Major of the 4th Regt of PA. Vol. for three months, and of Major, Lieut. Colonel, and Colonel of the 51st Regt of Pa. Vol. for three years. He participated in the battles of Roanoke Island, New Bern, Camden, Second Bull Run, Chantilly, South Mountain, Antietam, Fredericksburg, Vicksburg, Jackson, Campbell Station, Siege of Knoxville, Wilderness, Spottsylvania,
