This Boulder Stands on "Pine Ford"
About 300 feet east spanned by a modern structure known as Fisher's Bridge, is located the old Pine Ford across Swatara Creek, so named from the pine trees that lined its banks. It formed a part of the great highway connecting Philadelphia with Lancaster and Carlisle and as such was crossed by Washington, Lafayette and other heroes of revolutionary times.
