Ramón Frade León, pinto y figura emblemática para los cayeyanos, es a quien ves representado en esta escultura, creado su obra "El pan nuestro". Su existencia transcurrió desde el 8 de febrero de 1875 hasa el 30 de abril de 1954. Compartió con nuestros habitantes su cotidianidad, porque su casa estaba ubicada en el mismo centro del pueblo; justamente desde aquí, alzando su mirada al lado derecho, pudiese visualizarse en ese tiempo. Fue el buen hijo que siempre estuvo pedniente de su madre y aunque saliera a otros lares, regresaba a Cayey, donde encontraba su familia y los elementos que le inspiraban para satisfacer su temática: personajes, sentimientos, el campo, flores y frutas. Su fructifera obra expone en las artes plásticas, la historia y la personalidad del puertorequeño del siglo XIX. Forma parte de esta escultura el árbol de maga a mano izquierda, que es la flor nacional de Puerto Rico.
Ramón Frade León, painter and symbolic figure for the people of Cayey, is represented in this sculpture, created his work "El pan nuestro". He lived from February 8, 1875 to April 30, 1954. He shared his life with the residents of our city because his house lay in the very center of town. If he were here now, he could see himself. He was a doting son, always close with his mother and even when they were separated, he returned to Cayey where he found his family and thematic inspirations: characters, feelings, countryside, flowers and fruit. His fruitful work shows the history and personality of 19th century Puerto Rico. The maga tree on the left features the national flower of Puerto Rico is included in the sculpture.
