Ownby-Rutledge House
Dr. Warren Ownby built this house in 1908-09. He was on early osteopathic doctor. Phenie Lou Ownby, his wife, was the first and only woman mayor to serve Broken Arrow, the first woman mayor in the state and the sixth in the nation. She was elected in 1931. The Kerm Rutledge family spent years in restoring the house.
