PO Venturelli, and his partner spotted a car that was reported stolen earlier. They followed the auto onto Carroll St.. When the suspect vehicle slowed down, PO Venurelli seized the opportunity and jumped on the vehicle's running board. At which point the suspect accelerated, lost control of the car, crashed into a pole ejecting PO Venturelli, resulting in a fatal injury to the officer.
