Served as Surgeon of the 22nd New Hanover County Home Guard. Dr. Anderson later joined the Confederate Army & along with 2 other doctors from Wilmington attended the wounded at the Seven Days battles around the Richmond, Va area. After the fall of Wilmington in Feb 1865 several Wilmington doctors were hired by the Federals to work in area hospitals. Dr. Anderson was one of these.
2. The Cottage on Orange Street.
