Welcome to Peninsula
Peninsula is a historic village in the heart of Cuyahoga Valley. Since the canal era, the village has been a place for travelers to stop and refresh before adventuring onward.
The depot on your right sells tickets to explore the national park by rail. Use extra caution around the tracks. Beyond is Trail Mix Peninsula. A map of downtown businesses is on the kiosk outside, and visitor information, snacks, and souvenirs are inside.
To the left, across the parking lot, is the Towpath Trail, which follows the route of the Ohio & Erie Canal. Either direction offers scenic views of the Cuyahoga River. Keep to the right and watch for passing cyclists.
